Judging is extremely fun and rewarding, and only requires a 2-2 ½ hour commitment, unless you would like to judge multiple events. Everyone is qualified. In fact, our students want to learn to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, so your help is greatly appreciated. A short training session is required prior to an event, so please add 30 minutes to the beginning of your scheduled judging time.

Events needing Judges:

Judges are needed for a variety of speech and debate events (Optional information regarding each event is available at the Left Tab). However, No previous experience is required! You will receive all the training you need before you judge an event._

To honor your time and effort we offer complimentary snacks in our judges hospitality room as our gift to you.

Volunteers from the community are key to improving and sharpening our students' public speaking skills! We would love to have your company and your ‘listening ear’ to judge one or more speech and/or debate rounds during the tournament.

Gather friends from your office, church, or community group and be a part of encouraging our future leaders. You will not be disappointed.

COVID Precaution: In an effort to prevent spread and honor our neighbors, masks will be required.

This year we will be using electronic ballots for both speech and debate. Please bring a computer, phone, or other device that you can fill out ballots on. We are hoping that this is another step that will ensure the safety of our students, parents, and community judges during this season.

Thank you!
